Let's talk about gaining weight
Every single day that I do IE, it is so tempting to go back to Weight Watchers. Go back to what I know, what is familiar, what makes me lose weight and what 'works' but the truth is it doesn't work. Dieting causes disordered behaviour. Dieting causes binge eating. Dieting causes obsession with weight and food. Dieting causes you to gain more weight than you had when you started. It's not worth it. But I know I am gaining weight, and it's driving me nuts. My stomach is huge, my legs are rubbing together, my chin is getting fatter, my wedding ring is getting tighter, my pants are getting tighter. I had to go to the store on Saturday and buy two pairs of new leggings and 9 new shirts that were all a size large because I am not fitting into my old clothes.
I started IE, 16 lbs below my highest weight. I weighed myself and only had gained 3.3 lbs over 2 weeks which is actually pretty good, but the weight gain does scare me but it's a part of the process and I have to keep going. I have also basically decided that I am not going to be weighing myself anymore which is also very hard for me to deal with but necessary.
